Connect Bites to ChatGPT
Bites exposes a remote Model Context Protocol endpoint at:
Connect
- In your supported ChatGPT workspace, open the settings for apps or custom MCP
connections.
- Add a new remote MCP server using the endpoint above.
- Complete the Bites authorization flow in the browser.
- Return to ChatGPT and confirm that Bites tools are available.
- Start with a read-only request and verify the workspace shown in the result.
Treat tool calls as operations on real business data. Review the selected
workspace and the requested change before approving a write action.
Troubleshooting
- If authorization loops, sign out of stale Bites sessions and reconnect.
- If no records appear, verify the active workspace and your role permissions.
- If a tool is unavailable, the corresponding Bites module may be disabled for
the workspace.
- If the client cannot reach the endpoint, confirm that it supports remote HTTPS
MCP servers rather than local-only commands.
Credentials and authorization tokens are managed by the connection flow. Do not
place them in prompts or client configuration files.
